As with the private sector good governance in the development sector has become a critical success factor for organizations engaged in development activities. With regard to development sector organizations who raise funds from the public; there is a tremendous amount or pressure on the board of directors of such organizations to be as professional as a publicly quoted company to be accountable and transparent.
