Our Strategic Planning service covers 3 types of strategic planning needs.
Type I
These are organizations that have relied on a more organic / idea / aspiration driven approach wanting to move to a more formal type of Strategic Panning. Basically the management wants to take a fresh look at the business and is willing to look at the past successes and failures as a stepping stone for bigger and better things. Typically this type of Planning will start with:
- Design/update vision, mission and values
- External/internal assessment to identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats and do a strategic analysis to identify and prioritize major issues/goals
- Design major strategies to achieve strategic objectives (issue / goals based)
- Establish action plans, budgets, roles and responsibilities for implementation
- Train / hire the staff to be able to perform to achieve your strategic objectives
- Monitor/review/evaluate/update Strategic Plan in a reasonable time scale
Type II
These are organizations that have developed strategic plans in a method similar to Type I and need to re-look at certain strategic objectives and develop new plans given the changes in the market place. Typically this type of Planning will start with:
- External/internal assessment to identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats and do a strategic analysis to identify and prioritize major issues/goals
- Design major strategies to achieve strategic objectives
- Establish action plans, budgets, roles and responsibilities for implementation
- Re structure / re-engineer / train / hire / fire staff to be able to perform to achieve your strategic goals
- Monitor/review/evaluate/update Strategic Plan in a reasonable time scale
Type III
These are organizations that have developed strategic plans in a method similar to Type I & II and need to align or develop scenarios to hedge against the risks /changes in the market place. Typically this type of Planning will start with:
- Alignment and or development of scenarios for major strategies
- Establish convergent, divergent, trigger points / event horizons and develop action plans, budgets, roles and responsibilities for implementation
- Train / hire the staff (train for redundancy / cross training) to be able to perform to achieve your strategic goals
- Monitor/review/evaluate/update Strategic Plan in a reasonable time scale
